SAF PLASTI-X BRAVO 15 cm – Red Orange UV is a hand-poured and laminated soft bait that we make piece by piece here in the Czech Republic. This version is built around a very strong but still highly functional colour concept – it combines two transparent colours, red and orange, which create a lively, warm and clearly readable effect in the water. This is not some blindly opaque flashy lure, but a bait that works with light inside the material and therefore feels far more interesting than an ordinary serially produced imitation with no depth.

That is exactly where the strength of Red Orange UV lies. The transparent red-orange base gives the lure energy, visibility and a strong visual presence, but thanks to its transparency it still keeps a livelier and more natural overall expression. Underwater, this soft bait does not feel flat or dead. Quite the opposite. Light passes through the body, the individual tones flow into each other and the whole lure gains a shifting effect that predators can read very well.

We also add a UV activator directly into the material, so this is not just an attractive colour combination. Red Orange UV makes a lot of sense anywhere you want to offer fish a lure with more visibility, but do not want to fall into the trap of an overly aggressive opaque fluo option. This colour works very well in low light, at dusk, in lightly stained water, in greater depth and in moments when you need to get a slightly stronger signal out of the bait.

The BRAVO 15 cm model is highly usable for bigger predators that want a more visible and fuller mouthful, but do not necessarily require the fully robust profile of the CHARLIE branch. That is exactly where the strength of BRAVO sits – a finer and more natural action, a cleaner silhouette and very good usability in freshwater as well as at sea. Red Orange UV therefore makes perfect sense especially for zander, pike and catfish, but it also performs very well in saltwater fishing in Norway.

SAF PLASTI-X also has very strong use in saltwater fishing. And the combination of transparent red and orange makes outstanding sense in Norway. For cod, coalfish, pollock and other saltwater predators, this is exactly the kind of lure that is strong and visible enough, yet still does not feel stupidly overblown. In the water column, during active spinning and while covering space around the boat, this colour can deliver a strong visual impulse while still keeping the depth and liveliness of a transparent body.

And now the key point: eyes make the lure. That is why we do not use cheap anonymous eyes with no expression on SAF PLASTI-X. We rig these baits with premium Sybai 3D eyes, which have a much more robust resin layer than common low-cost alternatives. The result is not just a better look, but above all a stronger and cleaner visual identity that really matters in the water.

The way the eye is mounted also makes a big difference. We use gel-type cyanoacrylate glue, not thin glue that tends to run away, create a messy bond or leave an ugly air gap under the eye. The gel seats the eye properly, fills the space and helps create a clean, full and visually strong detail.

We give the same level of care to the final finish of every lure. When the baits are cut off from the plastisol sprue, each cut point is hand-sealed so the whole area melts back cleanly and the finished result looks consistent, clean and professional. It is a small detail that many serially made lures ignore completely, but the difference is visible on the finished bait.
