BKK Fangs-62 UA #5 is a fine-tuning intermediate size between #6 and #4 for smaller, sensitively balanced lures. Based on SAF’s physical comparison, it is very well suited to pilkers and speed jigs measuring approximately 6–6.5 cm / 20–30 g, spoons of the same length, and freshwater or saltwater streamers around 10 cm. It can also be used on smaller hardbaits, crankbaits, casting jigs and light stinger rigs when its proportions match the lure body. A finer profile does not mean a delicate hook: the forged 2X wire still provides an above-average strength reserve for its size.

With a metal lure, weight alone does not determine the correct hook. A treble hook needs enough gape for its points to remain exposed beyond the sides of the lure body, but it must not repeatedly catch the lure during the fall or retrieve.
