BKK Sea Ranger+ XL assist hooks (2 pcs)

Product detailed description

BKK Sea Ranger+ XL (2 pcs) is an assist hook supplied ready to rig on a saltwater lure. The pre-tied cord saves rig-building work, but suitability still depends on the hook and assist dimensions relative to your actual jig.

Sea Ranger+ combines a heavy-gauge hook with a supple solid-core cord. U-spade Slip Lock helps keep the assist cord in place. Shimmering and glow fibres add a visual detail. The range is designed for situations that call for strong hook rigging on relatively compact saltwater lures.

For size XL, compare the gape with the thickness of the jig body. Leave the point room to work, without the hook wrapping around the lure or catching the main leader. With two assists, check their reach relative to each other as well. Hook size alone does not define a universal jig weight.

Rings, leader, knots and assist-cord condition all affect the strength of the complete setup. Inspect the cord near the binding after contact with rocks or teeth, and replace any frayed or cut assist. Rinse in fresh water after fishing and dry thoroughly before storage.

Do I need to tie the hook first?

What should I check after fishing?

Inspect the point, cord, binding and connections. Do not reuse damaged cord; rinse and dry the tackle after saltwater use.
