SAF PLASTI-X MAHI 15 cm – Glitter Orange UV is a hand-poured and carefully finished soft bait, produced piece by piece in our workshop. This version is built around a strong orange base, subtle glitter, a slim hybrid MAHI profile and UV activity that increases visibility underwater.

The Glitter Orange UV color is designed for maximum visibility and contrast. The orange base is naturally easy to spot, while the glitter adds small light reflections that break up the bait’s silhouette. The UV effect enhances visibility even further, especially in deeper water, low-light conditions or stained water where a stronger visual signal is needed.

The MAHI 15 cm model within the SAF PLASTI-X concept represents a hybrid jerk-shad soft bait. Compared to bulkier lures, it offers a slimmer, more natural and more lively action, while still maintaining enough presence to attract attention. This balance between subtle movement and strong visual profile makes it a highly effective working bait.

Glitter Orange UV performs extremely well in saltwater fishing. Bright orange tones have long been proven effective at sea, and combined with the MAHI profile they deliver excellent results in practice. The bait stays clearly visible in the water column, during active retrieval and when fishing around structure. For cod, coalfish, pollock and other saltwater predators, it creates a strong visual trigger supported by movement and UV reflection.

This version also makes a lot of sense in freshwater, especially as a zander-focused bait. The slimmer MAHI profile, subtle action, high visibility orange color and UV effect make it a strong choice in tougher conditions such as deeper water, low light or reduced visibility. It is not a typical pike lure – this profile and color combination is much better suited as a dedicated zander bait designed to provoke strikes.

Attention to detail is a key part of the MAHI concept. Each bait is equipped with high-quality 3D Sybai eyes (12 mm) that enhance realism and improve the final presentation. The eyes are fixed using gel super glue, ensuring a precise and clean finish without gaps or imperfections.

We apply the same care to final finishing. After trimming the bait from plastisol, every cut is manually heat-finished to achieve a clean, consistent and professional result. These small details make a real difference in the final product.

SAF PLASTI-X is not built on theory. These handmade soft baits are produced from materials we use ourselves in real fishing situations. The MAHI concept also naturally connects to our workshop and to LOKI molds, from which this shape originates.

The bait pairs perfectly with our SAF jig heads, where the right combination of jig and soft bait creates a balanced and effective setup.
