History and the visit

The island’s story also includes La Isla de los Hombres Solos by José León Sánchez. A visit may cover the historic prison area and the natural surroundings of today’s national park, following the routes currently open.

The existing description suggests a boat crossing of around ten minutes from the resort and a shorter visit of up to 2½ hours in total. This indicates the scale, not a confirmed timetable; agree the specific route, time and duration.

Boat transport and park admission are separate items

Before visiting, check the current entry procedure and any online reservation required by the park authority. Boat transport does not itself confirm an admission ticket. Request separate confirmation of transport, entry, your time slot and any guide; check current admission prices and child conditions beforehand.

• Provide the number of adults and children; the provider must confirm actual boat capacity and suitability.
• Allow for walking in a tropical environment and choose suitable footwear, water and sun protection.
• You can discuss a shared boat with other guests, but sharing or splitting the price is not guaranteed.
• Any fishing afterwards is not automatically part of the San Lucas visit; its duration, boat and price require separate agreement.
