SaBoFlex Plastisol Glitter Blue is a high-temperature blue glitter designed for making soft plastic fishing lures from plastisol. It is made for use in heated plastisol, where it keeps its colour and does not bleed pigment into the liquid rubber. This is especially important for clear, transparent and semi-transparent lure colours, where the base of the bait needs to stay clean and crystal clear.

The biggest difference shows up when making a clean clear belly on a soft bait. When quality glitter is added to clear plastisol, the finished lure remains transparent and the blue particles only reflect light inside the material. The result is a clean clear belly effect with blue sparkle – not a cloudy, tinted or visually dull soft plastic. This is where proper lure-making glitter clearly differs from common decorative glitter that is not designed for hot plastisol work.

Blue glitter is a strong choice for baitfish patterns, cool colour tones, silver sides, transparent bellies and combinations where the soft bait should imitate small fish, scale-like reflection or a cold flash in the water. It works very well with transparent, smoke, pearl, silver, blue and natural plastisol shades. In saltwater soft lures it helps create a clean cold flash effect, while in freshwater it is useful for realistic shads, finesse soft baits and smaller lure patterns.

The 0.4 mm version creates a finer and more evenly distributed shimmer effect. It looks more subtle inside the lure, spreads well through the material and is suitable for small to medium soft baits, clear bellies, realistic sides and natural scale-like shine. The 1 mm version creates a stronger blue flash, with more visible particles inside the lure body. It is a better choice for larger soft baits, saltwater patterns, stronger trigger colours or situations where you want the lure to stand out more in the water.

For the best result, add the glitter into fully heated plastisol and mix it thoroughly so the particles spread evenly through the material. With transparent colours, it is best to start with a smaller amount and increase gradually – clear plastisol shows very clearly how much the glitter changes the overall character of the lure.
