SaBoFlex Plastisol Glitter – Holographic Pink is a high-temperature holographic pink glitter for making soft plastic lures. In clear, smoke and pearlescent bases, it creates a pink flash complemented by changing prismatic reflections without bleeding colour into the surrounding plastisol. The fine 0.4 mm grain size produces a clean scale-like shimmer, while 1 mm adds strong individual points of light; both sizes are available in 25 and 50 g packs.

Product detailed description

SaBoFlex Plastisol Glitter – Holographic Pink is a high-temperature holographic pink glitter for making soft plastic lures from plastisol. It retains its colour in the heated material without bleeding pigment into the surrounding plastisol. This is particularly important in clear and transparent lures, where the pink particles should create a separate light effect rather than colour the entire base.

The holographic finish combines a pink colour profile with a changing prismatic flash. As the angle of light changes, the particles do not light up simultaneously but create irregular points of reflection. This gives the moving lure a livelier appearance and a subtle scale-like effect that differs from both a solid pink colour and standard monochromatic glitter.

Holographic Pink combines particularly well with clear, smoke, white, pearlescent, silver, purple and blue bases. In a lower concentration, it can gently brighten a transparent belly or the flank of a lure. At higher concentrations, it becomes a distinctive pink trigger element suitable for tails, colour transitions, two-colour laminates and larger soft baits for pike or saltwater fishing.

The 0.4 mm version creates a finer, denser and more evenly distributed shimmer. It is suitable for small to medium-sized lures, realistic flanks and colour patterns where pink should remain a supporting detail. The 1 mm version produces larger individual flashes that are more clearly visible inside the lure and work particularly well in bulky soft baits or strong attractor patterns.

Add the glitter only after the clear plastisol has been fully heated, then mix thoroughly. Especially with transparent colours, begin with a small amount. The holographic pink effect is relatively distinctive, and gradual dosing allows you to control whether the finished lure has a subtle shimmer or a dominant trigger flash.

SaBoFlex Holographic Pink can be combined with plastisol for soft bait making, transparent liquid colours for plastisol and other high-temperature glitters. It is an excellent choice for clean transparent lures, smoke patterns, laminates and colour recipes where the pink flash should remain a clearly visible detail.

Frequently Asked Questions – SaBoFlex Holographic Pink

How is holographic pink glitter different from standard pink glitter?

Standard pink glitter produces a predominantly monochromatic reflection. The holographic finish adds prismatic flashes whose intensity and colour tone change with the angle of incoming light.

When should I choose the 0.4 mm grain size?

The 0.4 mm version is suitable for a fine shimmer, clear bellies, realistic flanks and small to medium-sized soft plastic lures. It also disperses more evenly throughout the plastisol.

When is the 1 mm grain size a better choice?

The 1 mm version produces strong individual flashes. It is particularly suitable for larger lures, coloured tails, contrasting sections of laminated lures and distinctive trigger patterns.

Which colours work best with Holographic Pink?

It combines particularly well with clear, smoke, white, pearlescent, silver, blue and purple bases. It can also create an interesting contrast inside a darker back or transparent belly.

When should the glitter be added to plastisol?

Add it only after the clear plastisol has been fully heated. Mix thoroughly and check that the particles are evenly distributed before filling the mould.

Does the 210 °C resistance indicate the recommended plastisol temperature?

No. This value indicates the glitter’s heat resistance, not the recommended working temperature of the plastisol. Always follow the heating procedure specified by the manufacturer of the plastisol you are using.
