Neodymium magnets for soft baits
Neodymium magnets for soft baits are a clean solution for a magnetic stinger. The magnet is embedded or glued into the tail section of a larger soft bait and keeps the stinger hook tight to the body. The hook is connected via a stinger rig to the bait’s main towing eye. In practice you get a cleaner presentation, less hook movement, and better action – the hook stays “parked” until the strike, then releases and works as it should.

Neodymium magnets for soft baits: magnetic stinger done right
With large soft baits (saltwater, current, pike – anywhere a stinger makes sense) the usual issue is the same: you don’t want a loose hook killing the action and collecting junk, but you still need perfect hook position. A magnetic stinger solves that in a simple, effective way.

Workshop note: if you glue magnets in, degrease the surface and use a strong adhesive. If you embed them, keep the magnet fixed in position so it won’t shift in hot material.
