Neodymium magnets for soft baits

Neodymium magnets for soft baits are a clean solution for a magnetic stinger. The magnet is embedded or glued into the tail section of a larger soft bait and keeps the stinger hook tight to the body. The hook is connected via a stinger rig to the bait’s main towing eye. In practice you get a cleaner presentation, less hook movement, and better action – the hook stays “parked” until the strike, then releases and works as it should.

Build the full setup with components, soft bait making – workshop, molds and injectors.

Neodymium magnets for soft baits: magnetic stinger done right

With large soft baits (saltwater, current, pike – anywhere a stinger makes sense) the usual issue is the same: you don’t want a loose hook killing the action and collecting junk, but you still need perfect hook position. A magnetic stinger solves that in a simple, effective way.

How it works

→ The magnet is embedded or glued into the tail (or rear body section).
→ The stinger hook is held against the bait, staying tidy and out of the way.
→ On the strike the hook releases, while the stinger rig is connected to the bait’s main towing eye for a clean, reliable system.

When it makes the most sense

→ Large baits where you need hook control without ruining the action.
→ Situations where you want a natural swim but the hook must be ready instantly.
→ Fishing in current / saltwater where a loose hook collects debris and causes issues.

What to combine it with

Components – everything for building and rigging.
Soft bait making – workshop – the full workflow.
Molds – for your own bait construction.
Injectors – clean and repeatable injections.
Plastisol + plastisol additives – material and mix tuning.

Workshop note: if you glue magnets in, degrease the surface and use a strong adhesive. If you embed them, keep the magnet fixed in position so it won’t shift in hot material.
