Detailed product description
Your Mold 9007 perforated sheet is material for making feeder cages. The blank measures 200 × 95 mm. Cut and shape it to suit the required cage size and the attachment in a matching mold.
The finished cage holds groundbait, while a separately cast lead part provides the weight. Cage volume, hole size and groundbait moisture affect bait release. The sheet alone does not determine the finished feeder weight.
The sheet is listed with feeder molds F143, F142, F111, F140, F186 and F185. Prepare the cage shape and size for the selected mold; one cage does not need to use the whole blank. This is not a SAF Method Series plastic basket or a casting mold.
The offer is for the perforated sheet. Mold, lead, loops and swivels are sold separately.

From sheet to a finished cage
- Select a mold and cage size. Size the sheet to suit its attachment.
- Cut the sheet safely with a suitable tool and remove sharp edges.
- Shape the cage and test its position in the mold with the specified attachment.
- Before pouring, the sheet, mold, attachment and tools must be clean and completely dry.
- Cast the lead section according to the mold instructions. Once solidified and cool, deburr the joint.
- Check cage and attachment strength, then weigh the complete feeder.
Seat the cage attachment and specified hanger accurately in the mold. Once solidified, check the sheet-to-lead joint and remove sharp edges; include the cage, hanger and groundbait when assessing the complete casting load.
Feeder making safety
Cutting and shaping can leave sharp sheet edges; use suitable protection. The following instructions apply when casting the lead section.
- Never pour molten metal into a damp mold. Inserts and tools must also be completely dry.
- Wear safety glasses and suitable protective gloves. Use a stable, heat-resistant work area with effective ventilation.
- Follow the instructions for the mold, metal and melting equipment. The mold temperature limit is not a recommended pouring temperature.
- Do not eat, drink or smoke when working with lead. Keep casting equipment separate from kitchen utensils and wash your hands afterwards.
