Crimson by Eye Candy Pigments is a pearlescent mica powder made for soft bait making and pouring into plastisol. In finished baits it delivers a deep crimson shimmer with a cooler undertone – the kind of effect that adds real depth and a natural, “alive” flash.

Key rule: add the pigment to hot, clear plastisol (not cold). It works best in clear or lightly tinted mixes where the pearlescent depth can really show.

Recommended process for soft bait making:

1. Heat plastisol until it turns fully clear (keep it in the working “hot window”).
2. Add a small amount of Crimson to hot clear plastisol and mix thoroughly.
3. Adjust intensity in small steps – with pearlescents, it’s better to build it up than overshoot.
4. Pour into the mold, or layer (belly / back) for a more natural finish.

Pro tip: Crimson is great for “blood / meat” accents, injury triggers, or bold contrast in two-tone baits. For extra depth, use Crimson in a clear top layer over a thin darker base (smoke/black tint) – the shimmer pops and the bait looks fuller.
