Ghost Candy - Eye Candy Pigments

Ghost Gold by Eye Candy Pigments is a golden interference pigment on a white base. In plastisol it creates a subtle “ghost” shimmer that shifts with light and surface, and it shows its strongest effect over dark bases (black, cola, motor oil) where it turns into a rich golden glow.

Most important rule: always add the pigment to hot clear plastisol (never to cold plastisol). With ghost effects, a thin layer or a light dusting is often enough – less is usually more.

Recommended method for making soft baits:

1. Heat plastisol until it turns fully clear (and keep it in the workable “hot window”).
2. Add a small amount of Ghost Gold to hot clear plastisol and mix thoroughly.
3. Adjust the intensity in small steps – you’re aiming for a ghost shimmer, not an opaque gold wall.
4. Pour into the mold, or laminate (belly / back) – lay a thin ghost layer over a dark base and the effect will pop.

Shop tips: In a clear mix, Ghost Gold behaves like a subtle pearl. But once you place it over a dark layer (or use it as a thin top coat), it starts to “glow” and gives that clean flash that works in water and in daylight.

Technical in a nutshell: particle size approx. 10–60 µm; temperature resistance (manufacturer data) approx. 538–1000 °C. Composition (manufacturer data): mica, titanium dioxide, iron oxide, tin oxide.
