Okinawa Blue by Eye Candy Pigments is a pearlescent mica powder pigment for plastisol, designed for soft bait making. In finished plastisol it delivers a vivid blue shimmer with a clean “water” tone – perfect when you want depth and flash while keeping the mix clear and natural-looking.

The most important rule: add the pigment to hot clear plastisol (not cold). It performs best in clear or lightly tinted plastisol where the pearlescent shimmer stays crisp and bright.

Recommended workflow for soft bait making:

1. Heat plastisol until fully clear (and keep it in the working “hot window”).
2. Add a small amount of Okinawa Blue to hot clear plastisol and mix thoroughly.
3. Adjust intensity in small steps – with pearls, it’s better to build up than to overdo it.
4. Pour into the mold, or use layering (belly/back) for a more natural finish.

Tips from practice: Okinawa Blue is excellent for clean-water baitfish looks and blue back tones. Use it as a base shimmer, a side wash, or a subtle pearl in a clear body – it adds depth and a lively flash when the lure moves.

Quick tech notes: a pearlescent mica powder for plastisol; shines best in clear/lightly tinted mixes, adding shimmer and depth without changing consistency. Dose gradually and mix well for an even finish.
