Ube Red by Eye Candy Pigments is a pearl mica powder pigment for plastisol made for soft bait making and pouring. It creates a strong pink-red shimmer and a clean “ube/red” highlight in the finished bait – perfect when you want more depth and contrast without making the mix look cloudy.

Most important rule: always add the pigment into hot clear plastisol (not cold). It works best in clear or lightly tinted mixes where the pearl shimmer stands out and the color stays “clean”.

Recommended process for soft bait making:

1. Heat the plastisol until it turns clear (and keep it in the working “hot window”).
2. Add a small amount of Ube Red into the hot clear plastisol and mix thoroughly.
3. Build the intensity gradually – with pearl pigments it’s better to add twice than to “overdo it” in one go.
4. Pour into the mold, or use layers (belly / back) for a stronger effect.

Pro tip: Ube Red is great as a highlight in clear bodies, bellies, or small details (stripe, dot, line) where you want the bait to “work” in the light while keeping the mix clean. It also performs well in lightly tinted mixes when you want extra shimmer and depth without turning the bait fully opaque.
