SAF PLASTI-X CHARLIE represents the stronger and more robust branch of our handmade soft bait range. Compared to the finer and subtler Bravo series, Charlie models are built with a fuller body, more volume and a more aggressive overall presence in the water. They are made for situations where you do not just want a lure that looks good, but one that really works, pushes water and stays readable for bigger predators.

This category makes perfect sense mainly for targeting pike, zander, catfish and other predatory fish where you want to offer a bigger meal, a stronger vibration and a more pronounced visual signal. SAF PLASTI-X CHARLIE performs very well in current, in rivers, in reduced visibility and anywhere a subtler lure simply does not hold its place in the water as confidently. The more robust construction also gives you better confidence with heavier jig heads and a more active retrieve.

One of the big strengths of the Charlie series is its natural overlap into saltwater fishing. And this is exactly where the concept fits the SAF philosophy extremely well. On the boat, in current and when targeting saltwater predators, volume, readability and lure stability often make the difference. That is why Charlie models also make a lot of sense in Norway and for targeting fish such as cod, coalfish, pollock and other saltwater predators. This is not a delicate lure for hesitant nibbling, but a proper working bait for moments when you want to show fish something stronger, more visible and more confident in the water.
