Westin Sandy Andy Jig 19 cm / 82 g in Bluetooth colour is a medium-heavy saltwater soft lure for Norway, jigging, active spinning and boat fishing. The blue-silver baitfish profile works especially well in clearer water, around edges, kelp, underwater humps and situations where you need a natural but clearly visible imitation of a small saltwater fish for cod, pollack, coalfish and, in the right situation, halibut.

Detailed information

Product detailed description

Westin Sandy Andy Jig 19 cm / 82 g – Bluetooth is a saltwater soft lure built around a realistic sandeel / sand eel imitation. The slim body, natural baitfish profile and complete jig head setup make it suitable for active spinning, jigging, controlled drops and fishing in medium depths. Compared with the 17 cm / 62 g version, this is a stronger and more stable model that keeps better contact in current, reaches the working depth faster and handles more demanding conditions.

With this model, it is important to understand the weight marking correctly. For the 19 cm / 82 g size, Westin works with the marking HEAD 65 g and TOTAL 82 g. The 65 g value refers to the jig head weight only, while 82 g is the total weight of the complete ready-to-fish lure including the soft body. That is why we use the total weight 82 g in the product name – the customer buys a complete lure, not only the jig head.

The combination of 82 g weight and 19 cm length gives Sandy Andy a stronger working role. This version makes sense where a lighter soft lure starts losing contact, but you still do not want to move straight to a heavy halibut jig or pilk. It is suitable for casting along shorelines, kelp fields, edges, shallower underwater humps, stronger-current areas and places where you need the lure to get down faster while still keeping an active soft-lure character.

The Bluetooth colour is based on a cool blue-silver baitfish profile. The darker back, blue flank, lighter belly and reflective effect create the natural silhouette of a small saltwater baitfish. This colour makes sense especially in clearer water, daylight conditions and around structure, where predators often react to a natural flash, slim profile and readable prey silhouette.

Bluetooth is not an extremely aggressive contrast colour. It is a more natural blue-silver option for situations where you do not want a loud lure, but still need the bait to remain visible and easy to read in the water. In Norway fishing, it fits well when predators are feeding on smaller fish, herring, sandeel-shaped prey or general blue-silver baitfish profiles.

Westin Sandy Andy Jig is supplied as a complete lure with a pre-shaped jig head and soft body. The manufacturer describes this range with active 3D eyes, hand-painted details, realistic appearance, optimised stiffness and mobility and a sharp saltwater hook. A practical advantage is the package with 1 jig head + 2 bodies, so when the soft body is damaged, you do not have to replace the whole lure – you can continue fishing with the spare body.

You can fish Sandy Andy in several ways. It works on a steady retrieve, stop-and-go retrieve, jigging and controlled drops. In this weight, it is especially interesting for actively searching the water column, working around edges and controlled fishing in drift. For pollack and cod, it works well around rocks, kelp and current breaks. For coalfish, a faster presentation through the water column can make sense. For halibut, this model is more of a situational option with slower presentation above the bottom or close to structure.

Within the Sandy Andy range, the 19 cm / 82 g model can be seen as a medium-heavy saltwater lure with a wider working range than the 62 g version. Compared with lighter sizes, it holds depth and contact better in current. Compared with heavier models, it still keeps an active soft-lure character, so it is not made only for passive bottom work. That makes it a very useful choice for Norway fishing where spinning, jigging, drift and medium-depth presentations often overlap.

The primary use of this lure is saltwater fishing. In Norway, it makes sense mainly for cod, pollack, coalfish and, depending on the situation, also halibut. In warmer saltwater destinations, a similar slim baitfish profile can also work for other saltwater predators when they are feeding on smaller fish or sandeel-shaped prey. For freshwater fishing, I would be careful with this exact version – 82 g is clearly a saltwater working weight, not a standard lure for classic freshwater spinning.

Westin Sandy Andy Jig 19 cm / 82 g – Bluetooth is a strong choice for anglers who want a natural blue-silver lure with more weight, better contact and still an active swimming action. It is not a universal soft bait for every situation, but a well-designed sandeel imitation for saltwater fishing where the right weight, lure control, clean baitfish profile and readable colour make the difference.
