Guideline Rivolt Single Hand Fly Rod is a modern single-hand fly rod for anglers who want a reliable, easy-casting and reasonably priced rod with real fishing performance. Rivolt follows the earlier Stoked series, but brings better materials, cleaner blank construction, lower swing weight and a more refined feeling when casting and fishing.
The Rivolt series is built around a logical selection of key models for real fly fishing situations. It is not an overly narrow specialist range, but a practical lineup covering trout streams, rivers, lakes, streamer fishing, coastal fishing and lighter migratory fishing. The single-hand models have a Mid / Tip Flex action with Medium Fast Recovery, making them easy to load, forgiving in timing and still controlled enough for longer casts.
The blank is made from 24/30T carbon fibre and has an unpolished graphite finish. This reduces swing weight, gives the rod a crisp and responsive feel and also lowers unnecessary carbon dust during production. The result is a rod that feels simple, clean and efficient in the hand, with enough performance for serious fishing while still being very user-friendly.
The smaller 8'6" #4 and 9' #5 models are aimed mainly at trout, grayling, dry flies, light nymphs and small to medium waters. The 8'6" #4 is the finest model in the range and is ideal for smaller rivers, streams, dry fly fishing, lighter nymphs and calm lake fishing. The 9' #5 is the classic all-round trout rod and a very safe choice for dry flies, small nymphs and general river fishing.
The 9' #6 is a stronger all-round rod for bigger flies, streamers, lakes and situations where you need more power than a standard trout #5. The 9' #7 is a clearer choice for dedicated streamer fishing, lighter coastal fishing and bigger fish.
