Product detailed description

Stainless spring wire shaft 0.8mm 40mm is a universal workshop component for making fishing rigs, small lure parts, tied accessories and lead castings. Compared to the shorter 25mm version, it offers more working length, making it suitable wherever a longer solid base is needed, while the 60mm shaft would be unnecessarily long.

The 40 mm length is a practical middle option for small and medium-sized fishing components. It can be used as a base for custom streamers, flies, tassels, smaller stingers, rig systems, hanging attractors, spinner blades or metal lure parts that need a strong shaft with clean attachment points at both ends.

The shaft is made from 0.8mm stainless spring wire. Spring wire holds its shape better than ordinary soft wire and is suitable for fishing use, where components are often exposed to water, moisture, salt and repeated mechanical stress. This is important when tying, assembling rigs or using the shaft as a metal insert inside a casting mold.

In the workshop, the 40mm shaft can be used in many different ways. It can form the carrier base for tied streamers and flies, short rig components, smaller add-on attractors, simple stinger systems or custom lure accessories for freshwater and saltwater fishing. Its medium length is useful when you need more space than the 25mm shaft provides, but still want to keep the final component compact.

When casting lead, the shaft is used as a metal insert inside the mold. It helps create a solid attachment point for fitting the finished casting with a split ring, hook, swivel or another rig component. With smaller metal jigs, compact pilker-style lures, sinkers and other castings, the correct shaft length is important for function, strength and clean finishing of the final product.

Within the SAF workshop ecosystem, this product belongs next to lead casting, fishing sinker molds and other tackle-making components. It is not just a spare part for casting molds, but a universal semi-finished component for anglers who want to fine-tune their own rigs, lures and small functional parts for specific fishing situations.

The product is available in 10pcs and 50pcs variants. The smaller pack is suitable for testing, occasional tying, completing a specific mold setup or a small workshop project. The larger pack is more practical for regular production, where these small wire shafts are used continuously for casting, tying, rig assembly and custom lure building.

Stainless spring wire shaft 0.8mm 40mm is a good choice for anglers who need a universal medium length between the short 25mm shaft and the longer 60mm version. It is useful for custom lure building, repairs, testing new rig ideas and precise assembly of smaller metal fishing components.
