Your Mold S1 stainless springs made from 0.8 mm wire for cast-in use in F187, F188, F195 and F204 screw-in heads. Holds the lure front; select a separate size 05 loop for F187/F188 or size 1 for F195/F204. Pack of 50. Position before casting; the spring stays in the head. Choose hook rigging for the lure and complete assembly.

Detailed information

Product detailed description

The Your Mold S1 stainless spring holds a soft bait on a screw-in head. It is made from 0.8 mm wire and supplied in packs of 50. Part of the spring is anchored in the lead during production; after finishing the head, the lure front is screwed onto the protruding working coils. This separates bait attachment from the independently selected hook rig.

SAF specifies S1 for round F187 at 40–60 g and F188 at 15–35 g, fish-head F195 at 30–50 g and heavy round F204 at 80–100 g. The loops differ: F187/F188 use 05, while F195/F204 use size 1. Prepare the correct loop as well as the spring; sharing a spring designation does not mean sharing the complete component system.

Select S1 by mold and fitting shape, not head weight alone. The chosen soft bait must screw on straight without unwanted bending or splitting at the front. The 0.8 mm dimension is wire diameter, not the outside diameter of the coils. S2 is not the same component under another name; in SAF’s associated light range it is paired with F189/F194 and size 01 loops.

Seat the spring before pouring; it remains in the head. Its anchoring section must fit the prepared recess accurately and its working coils must remain clear after finishing. This is a different part from a removable Cheburashka clip or casting strip. Check complete mold closure with all components seated, without using force.

Screw the lure on straight and attach the hook rig to the intended loop. The working coils hold the bait rather than acting as an improvised stinger connection. Select leader length and hook position for the lure body without restricting its active tail. Test the action with a short pull through the water. Head weight and wire diameter alone do not specify complete rig strength.

Selected applications for S1 springs

Mold or feature S1 application Associated components
F188 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 g Size 05 loop
F187 40 / 50 / 60 g Size 05 loop
F195 30 / 40 / 50 g Size 1 loop
F204 80 / 90 / 100 g Size 1 loop
Material / wire Stainless steel / 0.8 mm Wire diameter is not the coil’s outside diameter
Pack 50 pcs Same S1 design

The table separates the spring holding the lure from the loops connecting the rig. Sharing a spring type does not confirm identical loops. The other spring design appears among alternatives; determine any substitution by the individual mold.

From S1 spring to a screw-in head

  1. Choose a compatible mold and prepare the S1 spring, correct loops and other components. Keep all parts, mold and tools clean and completely dry.
  2. Seat spring and loops precisely in their recesses. Check the working section’s position and full closure without force, then secure the mold.
  3. Cast according to the mold, metal and melting equipment instructions, including the working temperature and filling method.
  4. After solidification and safe cooling, remove the head and trim the sprue. The spring remains cast in; inspect anchoring and clear coils.
  5. After coating and cooling, screw the lure on straight, connect the hook rig to the intended loop and check the complete setup before another batch.

Lead casting equipment and practical guidance

The pack contains 50 S1 springs. Choose loops, mold, hooks and other equipment for the particular rig. Keep loop openings and working coils clear when coating, and replace damaged components.

Casting safety

  • Never pour into a damp mold; springs, loops and tools must also be completely dry.
  • Wear safety glasses and suitable gloves and use a stable, heat-resistant work area.
  • Provide effective ventilation and follow the instructions for the metal, auxiliary products and melting equipment you use.
  • Keep food, drinks and smoking away from the work area; keep lead-working equipment separate from household utensils and wash your hands afterwards.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Does S1 use the same loop in every mold?

No. F187/F188 specify 05, while F195/F204 use size 1. S1 is shared, but the remaining components differ by mold.

Is 0.8 mm the outside diameter of the spring?

No. It is the wire diameter. That figure alone does not describe coil size or suitability for every soft bait.

Is S1 cast in or inserted after the head is finished?

Seat its anchoring section before pouring in a compatible mold. It remains cast into the head; fit the lure only after finishing and cooling.

Can I attach a hook leader to a coil?

The working coils hold the soft bait. Connect the hook rig or stinger to the intended loop and check both the connection and unobstructed lure action.

When should I compare S2 rather than S1?

When selecting fittings for a particular lighter range, such as F189/F194 with size 01 loops. Do not infer substitution in another mold merely from a similar appearance or head weight.
