The Lee EL3474 Pot 20LB Standard is an original replacement melting vessel for the Lee Pro 4-20. The manufacturer parts diagram lists it separately from the outer housing, heater coil and valve mechanism. The 20 lb designation refers to the furnace capacity class, approximately 9.1 kg of lead; it is not the weight of the spare part or a volume in litres.
The supplier specifies Pro 4-20 110 V model 90947 and 220 V model 90948. The vessel itself has no power supply. A shared mechanical vessel does not make the electrical components of those versions interchangeable.
Before ordering, match the furnace identification and part number with its parts diagram. Assess vessel damage separately from a blocked outlet or a heating or control fault. Replacing the vessel alone will not necessarily cure a dripping valve or slow heating.
Practical procedure
- Confirm the furnace model and EL3474 in its parts list.
- Have the fault and condition of adjoining parts assessed.
- Replace only on a disconnected, empty and completely cool furnace, following its instructions.
- Verify assembly, outlet operation and appliance safety before casting again.
