BKK Monster Circle 16/0 is the largest size in the Monster Circle range and belongs among hooks for truly heavy saltwater fishing. This is not a standard universal size for smaller bait, but a specialised heavy-duty circle hook for large dead bait, massive chunks of fish, large live bait and rigs where extreme pressure from a powerful saltwater fish is expected.

In Norwegian fishing, size 16/0 makes sense mainly in special situations when targeting trophy halibut with really large bait. If you are fishing with a smaller fillet, compact piece of fish or a more standard halibut bait, smaller sizes from the BKK Monster Circle range will usually be more practical, for example 10/0 or 12/0. The 16/0 size belongs where the hook size truly matches the bait size.

In global saltwater and big game fishing, this size moves into the world of large tuna, sharks, marlin and other extremely powerful fish. It can be used for bait fishing, drifting, trolling or large bait presentations where the target fish can put serious pressure on the hook, leader, swivels, split rings and the whole setup.

When used correctly, the hook rotates out of the mouth and tends to catch in the jaw corner.
