Amigo Fluid Bed Extension Adapter is an extension part for the compatible Amigo fluid bed used for lead coating paints. It fits onto the upper part of the cup and increases the working height of the fluid bed. This makes coating longer or more elongated lead castings easier, especially when the standard cup height does not provide enough comfortable working space.

The purpose of the adapter is simple. If you are coating small jig heads or small sinkers, the standard cup height is usually enough. Once you start coating longer pilkers, elongated fishing weights, larger cheburashka weights or other longer lead parts, the extra working height makes controlled dipping into the fluidised paint much easier.

The Amigo extension adapter increases the height of the fluid bed upwards, giving you more space above the paint layer. The casting can be guided into the cup more smoothly and accurately, with less risk of hitting the rim of the cup or disturbing the evenly fluidised paint layer.

This is especially useful for castings with a longer body, more pronounced shape or more detailed profile. With pilkers, elongated fishing weights and longer jig heads, you need enough space above the paint so the part can be dipped and lifted out cleanly without unnecessary contact with the cup edge.

In this setup, the extension adapter is useful mainly when you need to coat a few longer or taller castings and want to make work in the smaller Amigo fluid bed more controlled.

Recommended basic workflow
1. Fit the Amigo extension adapter onto the upper part of the compatible fluid bed cup.
2. Pour a suitable amount of lead coating paint into the fluid bed.
3. Connect the correct air pump or compressor according to the paint type.
4. Adjust the airflow so the paint is gently lifted and not blown out of the cup.
5. Preheat the lead casting to the correct working temperature.
6. Dip the casting briefly and carefully into the fluidised paint.
