SaBoFlex Standard Green is a concentrated pigment paste for colouring plastisol when making soft-plastic fishing lures. It provides a basic green shade for full bodies, backs, flanks and natural-style colour layers. This is a colour concentrate designed to be mixed into plastisol – not ready-to-use plastisol, an airbrush colour or a surface coating.

Standard Green is a basic green shade. Fluo Green, Chartreuse, Transparent Olive and Green Pumpkin are separate shades or product ranges; their properties cannot be applied to Standard Green. The name alone does not confirm UV activity, transparency or any particular undertone. Always assess the actual appearance on a cooled sample made with your own plastisol.

For colours in the SaBoFlex Standard range, SAF recommends adding them in small increments to plastisol that is already hot and clear. It is difficult to assess the true intensity in a cold, milky-looking base. In clear plastisol at working temperature, you can monitor the change in shade and build the intensity gradually. Prepare the plastisol in accordance with its manufacturer's temperature and safety instructions, and do not overheat it.

We do not specify a fixed number of drops per 100 g. Drop size varies with the dispensing nozzle, while the finished appearance depends on the base plastisol, dose, lure thickness, other additives and lighting. Start with a small amount; a mixture that is too pale can be coloured further, but concentrate that has already been added cannot be removed. For repeatable production, record the amount of plastisol, colour dose and additives used.

Standard Green is suitable for a full green body, a darker or coloured back, a flank or a separate laminate layer. Pairing it with white or yellow creates a lighter neighbouring layer, while black provides a stronger dark contrast. In a small test batch, you can combine it with brown, yellow or a very small amount of black to explore your own olive or earthy tone. Suitable high-temperature green, gold or holographic glitter can be added after completing the base shade.

The 50 g option is practical for trying the shade for the first time, making smaller batches or equipping a workshop with a broader palette of colours. The 250 g bottle makes more sense for regular production or repeated use of the same recipe; the greater mass of its contents also makes it easier to shake the whole bottle thoroughly. The concentration and recommended method of use remain the same for both pack sizes.

Storage and packaging appearance

Store the colour upright in its original tightly closed bottle, in a dry place at a stable room temperature and away from direct sunlight. Protect it from frost and significant temperature fluctuations. If the sealed bottle has become cold, allow it to return naturally to room temperature before homogenising the contents. Do not warm it on a radiator, hotplate or in a microwave oven.

Packaging notice: Particularly after transport, a light oily film may appear around the thread or leave a mark on the label, even when the bottle is closed. Provided there is no visible loss of contents, this surface trace does not affect use of the colour; we apologise for any marking of the label. After dosing, wipe the bottle neck and thread, retighten the cap firmly and store the bottle upright, ideally in a washable tray or sealed bag.
