ICE fish MONSTER Snap Swivels

Product detailed description

ICE fish MONSTER ICE is a snap swivel with a black nickel finish. The snap allows a rig or lure to be changed without retying, while the swivel provides a rotating connection. It is a combined connector rather than a plain snap.

For pirking and deep-water natural bait fishing, it offers a practical link to rigs that may rotate during lowering or retrieval. A suitably matched vertical jig rig can also be attached, provided the connector leaves the jig eye free to move. For trolling, consider the lure’s towing resistance as well as its weight.

Choose the smallest version with enough strength reserve and room for the lure eye. A smaller connector may suit delicate hardbait action better. If quick changes are unnecessary, a plain MONSTER ICE swivel provides a permanent rotating connection without the snap.

Versions in this listing:

• 3 pcs, 4/0 - 120kg
• 4 pcs, 2/0 - 70kg
• 5 pcs, 1 - 55kg

The stated rating applies to the connector. Knots, leader material, other components and shock loads affect the complete rig. Allow an appropriate reserve and set the reel drag accordingly.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Is this a plain snap?

No. It includes a swivel to help isolate rotation of the terminal rig from the leader.

Does a 120 kg rating guarantee the complete rig?

No. That rating applies to one component variant. Knots, leader material, other connections and wear affect the complete rig.

How should I care for it after sea fishing?

Rinse with fresh water and dry thoroughly. Check free rotation, eyes and any clasp. Replace the component if it corrodes, deforms, binds or no longer closes correctly.
