The ICE fish MONSTER spiral snap swivel uses a coiled connector rather than an opening wire clasp. Feed the rig or lure eye along the spiral until it reaches its working position. The attached swivel provides a rotating connection.

It suits changing robust saltwater traces, pirks and vertical rigs with compatible eyes. The swivel helps limit transferred rotation. A natural bait trace can be attached as a complete rig; for jigging, check that the spiral does not bind against the jig head eye.

Do not force an eye into the spiral or spread the wire with pliers. Very thick, small or awkwardly aligned eyes may not fit. A conventional opening snap may be more convenient for frequent changes of smaller lures. Having no standard clasp does not make a connector indestructible.

The stated rating applies to the connector. Knots, leader material, other components and shock loads affect the complete rig. Allow an appropriate reserve and set the reel drag accordingly.
