Product detailed description

The Green Tail Rubber cover finishes a hanger connection in a rig. It helps create a compact joint and reduce line catching on protruding parts. Actual behavior depends on the complete assembly.

Use it for assembling feeder or carp rigs, rather than inside a mold during pouring. Selection depends on the hanger dimensions, shape and adjoining parts. The SAF Method Series name does not establish universal fit with all clips and swivels.

A Tail Rubber cover differs from a tapered inline lead insert. The cover fits over a joint; an inline insert lines the channel through a lead. Similar tapered appearance does not establish equal dimensions or use.

Available packs contain 20, 100 or 1000 pieces. Choose quantity according to use; a larger pack does not change the part design. Exact dimensions and a specific hanger-model mapping are not verified in the available specification.

Fit the cover to preserve the intended function of your rig. Forcing it farther onto a joint can change how adjoining parts release. Check the actual clip, swivel and hooklink together; the cover alone does not guarantee safe lead release.

Preparation and use

  1. Compare the cover with the particular hanger and adjoining components.
  2. Assemble the rig and carefully slide the cover over the intended joint.
  3. Check the smooth finish, material condition and movement of functional parts.
  4. Test the intended release behavior of the complete assembly before fishing.

Before making a larger batch, check the first finished piece and the complete assembly. Assess the component dimensions together with its shape, attachment method and the requirements of the particular mold or rig.

Working safely

Keep the cover away from molten metal and lead-finishing heat. Do not use cracked or damaged parts or assume that tighter fitting automatically makes a rig safer.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Is the cover placed in a casting mold?

No. Use it when assembling a completed fishing rig.

Is it the same as a tapered inline insert?

No. A cover fits over a joint; an inline insert fits the lead channel.

Does it guarantee safe lead release?

No. Behavior depends on the complete assembly and how far the cover is fitted.
