Your Mold Stainless Steel Loop Size 1 – Cast-In Eye
Code: YM/7204Related products
Product detailed description
The Your Mold size 1 stainless steel loop is a shaped eye cast into a fishing weight or lure head. It forms a permanent attachment point for a rig or another component. Applications range from freshwater carp sinkers and other terminal weights to sea weights and selected lure heads. The deciding factors are the recess and eye specification of the individual mold, rather than the fishing category.
For carp sinker production, one documented example is the F101 terminal weight mold covering 30–70 g. SAF also lists size 1 for F85, F86 and selected Grippa molds, including F78 and F19. This lets you prepare different shapes and weights for different bottoms, currents and casting distances with the same type of consumable component. A cast-in eye provides the attachment on a terminal sinker; an inline design may require different inserts.
Sea weights and lure heads provide further applications. Size 1 is listed for the F129 sea trailer mold and the F195 and F204 screw-in head molds. In the last two, an S1 spring holds the soft bait while the eye provides attachment. The overview below gives documented examples from the SAF range. Other compatible molds can use the same component, so check the specification of each model in the lead casting mold and equipment range.
The stainless steel wire is 1.4 mm in diameter. Its shaped section remains anchored in the casting, leaving the eye accessible for the appropriate connector. Size 1 is a separate component from sizes 01 and 05. Where a mold specifies a swivel, a similar sinker weight alone does not confirm that this fixed eye fits. Check correct seating and full mold closure without force before casting.
Choose a pack of 100 or 1,000 to suit your expected consumption. Pack size does not change the component type. Inspect the first casting before making a batch: the eye must be firmly anchored and remain open after surface finishing. Overall rig strength also depends on the anchoring, connectors and leader.

The listed molds are examples, rather than an exhaustive compatibility list.
From a cast-in eye to a finished weight
- Prepare a clean, completely dry mold, loop and any other specified inserts.
- Seat the eye, check full closure without force and secure the mold.
- Cast according to the instructions for the mold, metal and melting equipment.
- Once solidified and safely cooled, remove and trim the casting, then check anchoring and the open eye.
The eye remains a permanent part of the casting. According to the SAF listing, discounts and other promotional benefits do not apply to this product.
Before casting a batch, inspect the anchorage of the loop in the first finished piece. Keep the attachment eye clear even after applying the surface finish.
Safe lead casting
Keep molten metal away from moisture. Wear safety glasses and suitable gloves, and use a stable, heat-resistant work surface with effective ventilation. Follow the metal and equipment instructions. Do not eat, drink or smoke while working, and wash your hands afterwards.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Can I use these eyes for carp sinkers?
Yes. SAF lists size 1 for F101, F85, F86 and selected Grippa molds, for example. Their use extends beyond jig heads.
Are the listed molds the only applications?
No. They are documented examples. For another mold, check the specified size, recess shape and actual fit.
Is size 1 the same as 01 or 05?
No. These are different components. Order the exact size specified for your mold.
Can a fixed eye replace a swivel?
Only where the particular mold and rig allow it. A fixed eye does not rotate and does not automatically have the same shape as a swivel.
When should I choose a pack of 1,000?
For regular production of weights using this component. Check size 1 compatibility with your molds before buying in quantity.
