The Your Mold size 05 stainless loop is a shaped eye for casting into a fishing head or weight. SAF specifies a 0.8 mm wire diameter. It fits particular recesses in compatible molds, forming a permanent attachment point after solidification. Retain the 05 designation when choosing components; it is not the same part as 01 or 1.

In the screw-in range, size 05 is used by round F188 at 15–35 g and F187 at 40–60 g. These versions also specify S1 to hold the lure. Loop and spring serve different purposes and are seated in their individual positions before pouring. Attach the hook rig on the finished head to the intended loop rather than the working spring coils.

Applications also extend beyond screw-in heads. F151 specifies 05 for Spin Jig. In Fireball F152, small / SAF 05 is used only for 18, 22 and 26 g; 10 and 14 g use mini / 01. Fireball F231 specifies small for 25/30/35/40 g. A mold among related products therefore does not always mean every cavity. Follow the table’s split and the rest of the specified mold components.

This loop is a permanent cast-in component. Seat it before pouring; it stays in the finished head or weight. Cheburashka clips A/B/C are inserted into completed castings to create an articulated hook connection. Springs S1/S2 hold the soft bait. Similar material or the same manufacturer does not make these parts interchangeable.

Choose 100 or 1,000 pieces according to your consumption of this type. Pack size does not change loop dimensions. Before a run, check the first part’s exact seating and full mold closure without force. After casting, inspect anchoring and a clear loop opening; coating must not obstruct connecting hardware. Wire diameter alone does not specify complete rig strength.

Selected applications for size 05 loops

Alternative products are other cast-in loops in different sizes or materials. They are not automatically substitutes in these molds. Related products begin with molds with documented use, followed by supporting components and equipment.

The loop, hook rig and leader must work as a complete assembly. Recheck the connection after an obstruction or damage. According to the SAF listing, discounts and other promotional benefits do not apply to this product.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Are 05 and 01 the same because both use 0.8 mm wire?

No. They have different shapes and applications. A loop must fit the individual recess accurately, so wire diameter alone does not confirm interchangeability.

Can I use 05 throughout F152?

No. It fits 18, 22 and 26 g. For 10 and 14 g, the manufacturer specifies mini, sold by SAF as size 01 stainless loops.

Does the loop stay in the head after casting?

Yes. It is a cast-in eye, not withdrawn like a casting strip or inserted afterwards like a Cheburashka clip.

Why are springs related rather than alternative products?

They serve another role. F187/F188 use S1 together with size 05: the spring holds the lure, while the loop provides an attachment point. Alternatives are other cast-in loops.

Does a 1,000-piece pack change loop size?

No. It contains the same size 05 in a different quantity. Test correct seating of the first piece before planning a larger run.
