Detailed information

Product detailed description

The Your Mold F203 aluminum mold produces terminal lead feeder bodies. It has 1 cavity for nominal weights of 82 g. The single cavity produces one lead part at the listed nominal weight.

For other weights, compare F202 (45 g) and F88 (60 / 80 g). Check the construction and required inserts as well as the weight before changing molds.

The lead weight is not the weight of a filled feeder. Include the basket, groundbait and other parts when assessing the casting load. Current, bottom slope, basket resistance and line tension affect how it holds; weight alone does not guarantee a fixed position or a particular casting distance.

The mold produces an open-ribbed lead body for holding groundbait. Seat the specified Your Mold 3011 carp swivel in its recess before pouring, keeping its working part exposed after casting. Assemble all mold sections in the correct position and check that they meet without force. Finish the cleaned casting with a rubber lead coating according to the coating manufacturer’s instructions.

The offer is for the aluminum mold. The 3011 carp swivels and coating are sold separately. This construction does not use 9007 sheet-metal cages or SAF Method Series plastic baskets.

Weight and insert overview

From the mold to a finished feeder

  1. Prepare all clean, completely dry mold sections, the swivel and tools.
  2. Seat the 3011 carp swivel and align the mold sections using their guides. Check full contact and secure them.
  3. Cast according to the instructions for the mold, metal and melting equipment.
  4. Once the metal has solidified and can be handled safely, separate the mold sections and remove the casting.
  5. Trim the sprue and deburr the ribs. Check swivel anchorage and function.
  6. Weigh the first casting and test it with groundbait and the complete rig.

Nominal weights refer to one casting, not the total output of the mold. The metal used and finishing affect actual weight, so weigh the first casting from each cavity you use. Check the function of all rig components and keep within the capacity of your rod and complete tackle.

Casting safety

  • Never pour molten metal into a damp mold. Inserts and tools must also be completely dry.
  • Wear safety glasses and suitable protective gloves. Use a stable, heat-resistant work area with effective ventilation.
  • Follow the instructions for the mold, metal and melting equipment. The mold temperature limit is not a recommended pouring temperature.
  • Do not eat, drink or smoke when working with lead. Keep casting equipment separate from kitchen utensils and wash your hands afterwards.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Which weights does the mold produce?

1 cavity for 82 g. This is the nominal lead-part weight; metal and finishing affect actual weight.

What is included?

The offer is for the aluminum mold. The 3011 carp swivels and coating are sold separately. This construction does not use 9007 sheet-metal cages or SAF Method Series plastic baskets.

Which swivel is required?

Use the Your Mold 3011 carp swivel. Check its seating and the alignment of all mold sections.

Does lead weight alone determine the right rod?

No. Assess the combined weight of basket, lead, groundbait and rig against the rod’s casting range.
