SaBoFlex Fluo Transparent Pink is a concentrated fluorescent pigment paste for giving plastisol a translucent pink colour when making soft plastic lures. It can produce anything from a delicate pink tint to a stronger high-visibility pink, with the final appearance depending on the dose, the base plastisol and the thickness of the casting. This is a colour concentrate designed to be mixed into plastisol – it is not ready-to-use plastisol, airbrush paint or a surface coating.

The name Fluo Transparent Pink identifies a translucent fluorescent pink shade. In a thin section or at a low dose it may look more delicate and transmit more light, while a higher concentration or thicker body will produce a fuller, visually denser pink. The colour of the paste in the bottle and photographs viewed on a screen are therefore not exact references for the finished casting; the decisive reference is a cooled sample made with your own plastisol.

This version is not the same as SaBoFlex Fluo Pink, Standard Pink, BubbleGum or Salmon. Fluo Transparent Pink is intended for translucent pink colouring with a fluorescent character, whereas those names identify separate shades or product ranges. The term Fluo does not mean phosphorescent afterglow in the dark and, without a technical data sheet, we do not attribute guaranteed UV reactivity, a metallic effect, nano glitter or non-migrating properties to this colour.

For workshop use, SAF recommends adding this paste in small increments to plastisol that is already hot and clear. Pink intensity and true translucency are difficult to judge in a cold, milky base. Once the colour has been mixed into clear plastisol at working temperature, you can see the shade develop and adjust it gradually. Always prepare the plastisol in accordance with its manufacturer's temperature and safety instructions and do not overheat it.

We do not specify a fixed number of drops per 100 g. Drop size varies with the dispensing nozzle, and the same dose can look different in different plastisols or lure geometries. Begin with the smallest practical amount, mix the batch completely after every addition and allow a test drop to cool before judging it. For repeatable batches, record the weight of plastisol, the amount of colour, the thickness of the test casting and any other additives used.

Fluo Transparent Pink can be used for a fully translucent body, a delicate pink belly, flank, tail, head or separate high-visibility detail. In a laminate it creates a clean division against a smoke, blue, purple or black layer; at a low dose it can also add a subtle pink tint to a clear section. Its character can be complemented with a suitable heat-resistant silver, blue, pink or holographic glitter. Test every new combination in a small batch first and inspect the boundary between the colours again after the lure has rested.

The 50 g size is practical for an initial trial, small batches and workshops using a broad colour palette. The 250 g pack is better suited to regular production or repeated use of the same recipe, offers a lower price per gram and is easier to homogenise by shaking because of the greater mass of paste in the bottle. Pack size does not change the concentration or working method.

Storage and packaging appearance

Colour paste and base plastisol are not the same material from a storage perspective. In SAF workshop experience, Fluo Transparent Pink remains workable in cooler conditions better than plastisol itself, but the manufacturer does not publish an exact minimum storage temperature. Do not therefore regard the colour as frost-proof. Store it upright, tightly closed and dry at a stable room temperature, away from direct sunlight, heat sources and frost. If the sealed bottle has become cold, allow it to return naturally to room temperature before opening, then shake it thoroughly. Do not warm it on a radiator, hob or in a microwave.

Packaging note: a light oily film may sometimes appear around the thread of a bottle of concentrated pigment paste, or a mark may appear on the label, particularly after transport and even when the bottle is closed. Provided there is no visible loss of contents, this surface residue does not affect the colour's use; we apologise if the label has been marked. After dosing, wipe the nozzle and thread, retighten the cap and store the bottle upright, ideally in a washable tray or sealed bag.

What does Fluo Transparent Pink mean, and how does it differ from Fluo Pink?

It is a translucent fluorescent pink shade intended for colouring plastisol while allowing light to pass through.
