SAF Grippa Carp Extra aluminum lead mold produces looped leads. Each selected variant has one cavity for one fixed weight. Available variants: 30 / 40 / 50 / 60 / 70 / 80 / 90 / 100 / 110 / 120 / 130 / 140 / 150 / 180 / 200 / 250 / 300 / 350 g.
Carp Extra is a range of separate single-cavity molds. The 30–350 g selection describes the available variants, not an adjustable cavity. Compare Carp Star for a different profile at a similar weight, or F78 and F55 for several fixed weights in one mold.
The shaped contact surface can help limit rolling and movement on the bottom. Actual holding depends on lead weight, bottom hardness and slope, current and line pull. Choose the weight for your fishing conditions and the load limits of the rod and complete rig; the profile alone does not guarantee holding or a casting distance.
Fit the Your Mold size 1 loop into the dry mold. Its cast-in portion becomes fixed in the lead while the eye remains accessible for the rig connection. Check its orientation and close both mold halves fully without force.
This offer includes 100 free universal SAF size 1 stainless-steel loops (SAFNP-100, 15 mm high, 1.3 mm wire). These are a different product from the original Your Mold 7204 loop. Always dry-fit the selected loop before casting. No additional discounts or other benefits apply.

From SAF Grippa Carp Extra to a finished lead
- Prepare a clean, completely dry mold, inserts and tools. Select the required cavity or variant.
- Fit the specified insert (Your Mold size 1 loop) and check full closure and secure holding without force.
- Cast according to the instructions for the mold, metal and melting equipment. Keep plastic and rubber inserts out of molten metal.
- After the metal sets and handling is safe, remove the casting and trim the sprue.
- Check the attachment or the smooth line passage, then test the complete rig.
- Weigh and inspect the first casting before continuing with a larger batch.
Nominal weight refers to one casting. The metal and finishing affect actual weight. Respect the load limits of the rod and complete rig; an inline hole alone does not guarantee free-running or safe lead-release behavior. Finish the cleaned casting with a rubber lead coating according to the coating manufacturer’s instructions.
Casting safety
- Never pour molten metal into a damp mold. Inserts and tools must also be completely dry.
- Wear safety glasses and suitable protective gloves; work on a stable, heat-resistant surface with effective ventilation.
- Follow the mold, metal and melting-equipment instructions. A mold temperature limit is not a recommended pouring temperature.
- Do not eat, drink or smoke when working with lead. Keep casting equipment separate from kitchen utensils and wash your hands afterwards.
